Food & Nutrition

One of the most prevalent conditions of those that live in poverty in our communities is a lack of nutritious food to power their bodies. At CAPLP we work to help people increase access to nutritious foods by connecting them to food resources in the community. We do this by assisting households with accessing SNAP (Food Support) benefits through application assistance, outreach and education. We also provide food distribution events such as Mobile Food Drops and the Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors (NAPS). Through these programs we help ensure that the children, families and seniors in our communities do not have to choose between providing healthy, nutritious food for their families or paying for other basic needs. For more information about these programs, please call (218) 512-1500 or email.
