Grants and Scholarships
Child Care Aware helps child care providers improve the quality of their services through grants and scholarships, including:
Regional Grants provide funds for supplies and equipment, training and professional development opportunities. (available in September only)
Start Up Grants are intended to provide support to providers just getting started. Providers can request funding for items required by licensing or the fire marshal. Such items could include fencing for a play area or railings for stairways. (available until funding is depleted)
Parent Aware is a voluntary program to help providers receive a Parent Aware star rating. Coaching, training and funding up to $3500 is available to licensed child care professionals who participate.
T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® MINNESOTA is a scholarship program that helps early childhood and school-age care professionals increase their education, compensation and commitment to the field. For more information e-mail.
R.E.E.T.A.I.N. bonuses reward child care professionals who have earned a degree or National Child Development Associate Credential and have demonstrated a general commitment to continuing education and professional development.
CDA Scholarships improve the quality of early childhood programs by helping National Child Development Associate (CDA) credential students.
