Early Learning Scholarships

The State Early Learning Scholarships, a program of the Minnesota Department of Education, give families financial support of up to $7,500 to help pay for high-quality early care and education to prepare their young children for school. Any family residing in Minnesota and meeting the income eligibility and child age requirements may apply for a scholarship. Lakes and Prairies CAP administers scholarships for Region 4 residents. Please see below for the list of counties we serve.

Are you eligible?

      • You live in Becker, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens, Traverse or Wilkin County.
         
      • Your child(ren) turned 3 or 4 years old by 9/1/2016 -OR-
         
      • You are under 21 years old and pursuing a high school diploma or GED with a child age 0-5. AND
         
      • Your family participates in one of the following publicly funded programs -OR-
